  1. If you’re interested in losing weight, it’s a good idea to eat slowly and chew your food at least 15-20 times before swallowing.  Doing so allows your brain and body to actually sense that it’s full, instead of cramming a bunch of food down your throat only to find out 30 mins later that you’re stuffed anyway. An ideal tip in this regard is to literally place down your fork and knife after the food has been placed into your mouth and literally count till 20 and then only retake on your eating utensils. It is a learning curve but well investing into. And better for your healthy eating habits as well.
  1. In the process of slowing down your actual food intake you might experience the ‘full effect’ before you are actually over full and in this process learn to reduce portions sizes till you have established a healthy balance for yourself. This is a weaning process to say the least.
  1. Nibble on healthier in-between options, sugar-free and wheat-free preferably. Try cherries (you can even snack on cherries in the evening without much detriment as their effect on insulin is minimal at best) /blueberries for a super ant-oxidant experience and once again take your time. Grapes although potentially weight gaining if over-indulged in, may help you eat them more slowly because of the pips, allowing your satiation sensors to clock in and prevent you from over-indulging.
  1. No late night snacking.
