understanding chronic pain

Pain is a good thing and should be seen in this light.

It can be a signal that we need to change something in our diet, environment, lifestyle or our relationships to enhance our natural ability to alleviate pain. If we listen closely to our pain and pay attention to our body and our states of mind, our discoveries may guide us to what we need to do to reduce our pain.

Nutritional deficiencies

Most pain is triggered in acidic environments, realizing in metabolic syndrome and thereafter triggered or made worse by Candida yeast, food allergies, certain chemicals ( various forms of toxic overload) and by nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiencies is one of the largest relatively unknown problems mankind is experiencing today. Why – toxic overload preventing good nutrition into the body and of course that most of the good nutrition simply doesn’t exist even in the good foods let alone the ‘bad’ foods making up our daily intake. How can we expect the body to function optimally if it is not being fed appropriately?

Wheat & Sugar

Wheat and refined white sugar are the worst offenders. Magnesium and Calcium deficiencies are equally rampant. And finally lack of sleep, lack of exercise and stress finishes the ‘killing spree’. And the worst of all we normally bring it all upon ourselves, DAILY. So when your body screams out in pain, investigate.

Food Sensitivity

Food sensitivity occurs when the naturally occurring chemical composition of the food causes inflammation in the body ( metabolic syndrome), that results in pain and eventual dis-ease. These we normally label as allergies but even so these infections remain painful when in full swing and normally have a tendency to recur. The toxins in common everyday chemicals and mold may also result in pain. This pain can be experienced anywhere in the body and may vary from person to person. For one it could be back pain, headaches, muscle pain or jaw pain, while for another it could be gastrointestinal pain, joint pain or widespread and diffuse pain.

Adrenal Fatigue & Toxic Overload

Other common root causes of pain may be found in adrenal fatigue and toxic overload (body & environmental toxins) or a neurotransmitter deficiencies or imbalances. For example, if you are not producing enough endorphins, the body’s own natural pain reliever, then there will be pain.

Some pain should never be limited or eliminated too quickly, even if it may feel overwhelming such as the emotional ones. The loss of a relationship or death of a loved, one as well as the loss and grief one experiences living with a chronic health condition, should be felt fully and mourned. The pain should run it’s natural course, otherwise it may cause difficulties later.

Understanding Pain

Learning to live with chronic pain is unnecessary. Get to the route of the pain. We must let go of societies expectations ( with chronic overuse of drugs to alleviate signs and symptoms) and listen to our bodies.  Your body will show you as you adapt to new, better habits or eliminate old habits and intake. In the interim, if extreme pain is to be managed, try finding safe, effective and natural forms of pain relief first.

Healthy Life Style

Although living with chronic pain can be very challenging, by adopting a healthier diet, making changes in lifestyle, working towards acceptance and using a variety of natural techniques you can develop a comprehensive plan that will provide relief, reduce the impact of pain and improve the quality of your life.
