Super Holiday Nutrition and more on what to do ….

We live in sunny South Africa. Yet most of us lack vitamin D. Which is bad news for bone strength and leads to other sinister problems. We need super nutrition for a super holiday and vit D is it.

Only 5 to 10 minutes of sunshine is necessary for our daily dose of vitamin D, so get out of the office/house now!

However the sunscreen SPF 30 should be applied after 10 minutes to prevent a roasted skin on the beach. That is oxidation or “rusting”/aging of your skin’s cells. Make sure you use sunscreen that blocks both the UVA (causes skin cancer) AND the UVB (causes sunburn) rays. Just read the label please.

If you are like me who don’t like sunscreen, you have to counteract the oxidation/rusting with food rich in anti-oxidants (anti-rust) such as Nucleo. Avoid long hours in the sun and experiment with natural sunscreen like I will be doing this summer.
