My Rainbow Child
An adaptation, my adaption to you my rainbow 🌈 child from some text that spoke to me specifically in these ‘locked down’ or is ‘locked out’ time! This is for you—you who usually wears your heart on your sleeve showing the world all the light inside of you from the inside out.
It’a not that you don’t see the darkness in the present season but that you choose to be the light. You have to be that light for your family for your friends for your associates but even light needs to be looked after.
…and hearts?
Tender hearts on sleeves get knocked about, don’t they? Especially now, and it’s fallen off again, hasn’t it? In this lockdown season it’s ok. It’s always ok actually, it happens.
…,and you have spent all day wondering whether you should fix it up, pin it back, try again or just let it stay off for good.
To be honest you’d have to go and search for it—walk back through the forest, eyes to the ground and you know that every last crumb you had, is gone. But right you can’t go for that walk or spend some time in Mother Nature…oh how I miss those days that I took for granted; so for now …
the black birds that nested inside your head, once-upon-a-time and that you thought were gone, have seen to that.
gobble. gobble. gobble.
peace and joy make good meals.
and lately, this is all so hard. Isn’t it??
Every night you go to bed determined to feed five thousand in the morning with manna and quail, but somehow you forgot to buy cereal, or perhaps there wasn’t anything to buy it with.
….and you can’t see further than your fear and how are you supposed to breathe the ‘happy’ into every face that looks at you for air? Things are scary, aren’t they?
hold on, lovely heart….not just today or tomorrow but everyday as hard as it may seem; now is not the time to give up, or give in.
The world needs you—needs to see your face.
Do you know how rare it is to see a face that allows every emotion to run freely across its surface?
…waves upon the ocean…nothing hidden.
just light…just love.
Oh to hear a laugh ring like a bell across a valley—even the one called shadow-of-death….your laugh can fight armies.
Just sit for awhile… you have the time now…make another cup of tea and wrap your arms around yourself. You owe it it to you.
Let me tell you something—there is a lot of pretending happening out there, none of us really know how to do this. I mean just to hug yourself or loook I the mirror and tell yourself you’re ok and tell yourself ‘ I love you’ …
Guess what you are doing just fine!
It’s a new season – do you see the trees changing?…It’s a new season—just like this one and seasons pass….you will move through this.
This next moment is your now, grab it embrace it since it’s not your forever. Time is but a moment in the greater equation of things but this is your moment.
…find your heart. Pick it up—hold it in your hands for a little while until it warms up again….

feel…
Do you see how strong it is? It’s you! It’s powerful! It’s unique! It’s you!! Your Creator empowered you with this strong heart…
…and so are you….strong! Unique! Devine! Blessed!
…you were made for a time like this. I know it’s been hard but there’s something to be learnt in all of this and you will the stronger hereafter.
You are that light. You are that love! You are strong! You are! Yes you are!!! Hang in there stay strong .. you can, yes you can!!!!
