The Silent Killer – Inflammation

Bacterial, Parasitic, Fungal and Viral imbalances, pathogenic infections, and the related chronic inflammation (“The Secret Killer”) and disrupts the digestive system, causing discomfort, sapping energy, and contributing to chronic and severe diseases.

Unveiling the Silent Adversary – Chronic Inflammation

Within our bodies, the delicate balance of bacterial, parasitic, fungal, and viral elements can sometimes falter, leading to a cascade of imbalances and infections. Chronic inflammation, often dubbed “The Secret Killer,” emerges as a sinister consequence, disrupting the digestive system, draining energy, and fostering chronic and severe diseases.

Initially, inflammation serves as a vital defence mechanism, mobilizing our immune system to combat injuries and pathogens. This orchestrated response, triggered by the presence of invaders like bacteria and viruses, aims to restore equilibrium by bolstering blood flow and delivering crucial resources for healing.

However, when inflammation persists unchecked, it transforms from a protective shield into a destructive force. Prolonged inflammation wreaks havoc on tissues, impairs organ function, and destabilizes the delicate balance of our immune system. Despite its subtlety, chronic inflammation can quietly simmer beneath the surface for years, laying the groundwork for a host of degenerative illnesses.

In the cardiovascular realm, chronic inflammation significantly contributes to heart attacks, strokes, and vascular diseases. Similarly, persistent low-grade infections, particularly viral ones, heighten the risk of cancer by stoking inflammatory processes. Moreover, inflammation underpins a myriad of conditions spanning allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, skin ailments, and neurological maladies, alongside autoimmune disorders.

While conventional medicine often relies on anti-inflammatory drugs to manage symptoms, their prolonged use can entail adverse effects such as heartburn, hypertension, and allergic reactions. Hence, there’s a burgeoning interest in exploring alternative approaches to address chronic inflammation sustainably.

Inflammation’s Impact on Brain Health

Inflammation does not just affect the body; it can wreak havoc on our brains too.

As previously discussed, when leaky gut occurs, the intestinal lining becomes permeable, allowing pathogens to escape into the bloodstream, triggering an immune response and widespread inflammation. This gut-derived inflammation can compromise the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), leading to what is known as leaky brain.

Toxins, harmful bacteria, and other pathogens can then infiltrate and influence the brain, potentially triggering the onset of various diseases in individuals with genetic predispositions, including depression, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and other memory and mood disorders.

Once inflammation sets in within the brain, neural messages may not be transmitted as efficiently, resulting in brain fog and symptoms such as poor memory, fatigue, depression, and anxiety.

The Role of Microglia

Microglia, the immune cells of the brain, diligently maintain the microenvironment of the central nervous system (CNS) by eliminating potential toxic molecules. Comprising 10-15% of all brain cells and outnumbering neurons by a ratio of 3:1, these resident macrophage cells serve as the primary immune defence within the CNS.

Initially neuroprotective, microglia safeguard the blood-brain barrier from damage caused by systemic inflammation. However, when infectious agents and pathogens breach the BBB, inflammatory cytokines are activated, prompting microglial cells to swiftly react to reduce inflammation and eliminate the invaders to prevent harm to delicate neural tissue.

Activation of Microglia

Under normal circumstances, microglia function to protect neurons. Yet, disruption to the BBB and subsequent heightened inflammation triggers a notable shift in their behaviour. Instead of safeguarding neurons, they begin attacking BBB components, compromising its integrity, and damaging neurons.

This cellular damage, resulting from microglial activation and subsequent inflammation, generates neuronal protein fragments. Consequently, the immune system produces antibodies against these damaged cellular proteins, leading to neuro autoimmunity, where the immune system targets its own brain cells. This neurodegenerative process contributes to conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease.

Your Vagus Nerve Regulates Inflammation via Your Microbiome

Effective communication between the Immune system and the Brain is crucial for managing inflammation, with a key player in this communication being the Vagus nerve. Serving as the primary conduit between the gut and the brain, the Vagus nerve connects many major organs, particularly those within the gut. Its primary role is to relay information from internal organs such as the liver, heart, and lungs to the brain.

The Vagus nerve also plays a vital role in immune system regulation and inflammation control. It transmits anti-inflammatory signals to various parts of the body through three distinct pathways:

  • The first pathway involves the HPA axis.
  • The second pathway is the splenic anti-inflammatory pathway, where the Vagus nerve stimulates the splenic sympathetic nerve, triggering the release of noradrenaline and acetylcholine.
  • The Third pathway is known as the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway, which stimulates the release of acetylcholine to inhibit inflammatory molecules.

During periods of chronic stress, the Vagus nerve can activate inflammation and disrupt immune regulation.

In recent years, the Vagus nerve has emerged as a notable target for potential therapeutic interventions, not only in the realms of psychiatric and gastrointestinal disorders but also in addressing various inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, chronic headaches, fibromyalgia, and diabetes. It has been observed that disruption of Vagus nerve signalling can exacerbate systemic inflammation in numerous diseases.

The Vagus nerve is profoundly influenced by the presence of bacteria, fungi, and other microbes in our gut microbiome. Certain probiotics, such as Bifidobacterium, have been found to communicate with the brain through vagal pathways. Recent studies have revealed that individuals with depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia exhibit alterations in both their gut microbiota and vagal tone. Hence, maintaining a healthy gut microbiome is crucial for optimal functioning of the Vagus nerve.

What is a Healthy Gut?

Your Body, Mind and Spirit is your indicator – simply put – optimal Brain functions, optimal Energy output, a constant Healthy Spirit, and optimal Good Health (lack of ‘dis-ease’) is your absolute best indicator. That is, it. And if only we would realise the simplicity of it all, would we know how much control we do have over this God-given body. And here is the simple trick – the truth lies in the Gut and, quite simply going a little further down the line, the power lies in our Microbiome.

As with your finger print, your eye print and various other unique indicators even this fine print comes in an individual shape and form, effected by our genes, but ultimately not affected by our genes but all else around us – out thoughts,  our food and drink intake, our hydration and a myriad of other factors most especially our Brain thoughts (Mind)  and our Spiritual being.

The Benefits of a healthy Gut on Learning.

Let us start with the basics. Understanding your gut-brain axis. This dynamic duo refers to the bidirectional communication between our gut and our Brain, which is facilitated by various pathways, including the Nervous System, Hormones, and Immune System. Your gut bacteria influence this communication, affecting not only our digestion but also our mental health.

Your Gut Microbiome – what is the Gut.

The gut is a long tube in the body of a person through which food moves during the process of ingestion, digestion, and assimilation. Your Microbiome is a collection of microbial genomes and microbiota is a collection of microbes It consists of bacteria, viruses, parasites, protozoa, and fungi inhabiting the gut. Estimated one hundred trillion organisms. This family of organism’s weighs +/–2kg (like weight of adult human brain) and ideally optimally functional in a balanced healthy individual. Normal gut flora is essential for the optimal functioning of the gut and for maintenance of general health and wellbeing. “Dis-ease” (a state of dis -ease in your health) only really sets in where “dis-biosis” (a state of dis-biosis in your healthiest of microbiome) sets in affecting and afflicting the entire body.

Functions of the gut microbiome

  • Regulates the immune system (responsible for protection and defence against infections)
  • Regulates the endocrine system (responsible for production of hormones)
  • Seventy percent serotonin produced in the gut by the microbiome (Candida, Streptococcus, Escherichia, Enterococcus) – Serotonin is the “happy hormone” in our body. Decreased serotonin levels in the brain is a major contributing factor for depression.
  • GABA, Dopamine, Acetylcholine and Noradrenaline are all made by gut bacteria. These are amino acids and hormones which play essential roles in the signalling pathways of the nervous system.

How do we affect these bacteria?

Research has shown that certain probiotic strains can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression and even improve cognitive function! But all thoughts, all external effectors have an influence over our microbiome. But let us not forget all of this is only in an un-compromised (clean & healthy) Gut. If the balance is in favour of the beneficial bacteria, you will have a very friendly God-given Immune response that should be able to deal with the worst of the offenses.

We are dealing with the Gut-Brain axis in this writing for our students, teacher, and parents. The ‘gut–microbiota–brain axis’ refers to the network of connections involving multiple biological systems that allows bidirectional communication between gut bacteria and the brain. The gut and brain communicate by molecules carried in the blood, and microbes influence those chemical messages. Microbes also interact with the gut’s special nervous system, called the enteric nervous system. It has a direct, two-way connection with the brain via the central nervous system. Both need each other. Both need each other.

The Gut-Bran Axis or link:  This is a communication network that links the central nervous system (CNS) and the enteric nervous system (ENS). This axis functions in a bidirectional manner, therefore, each component of the network can influence the other. Hence the gut is known as the second brain. Chemicals released in the gut by the microbiome can vastly influence the development of the brain, starting from birth. This is two-way communication system od unique design as per our Godly design.

Disturbances of this axis are implicated in many neurologic disease processes. The gut microbiota plays a role in a wide range of neurological conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

Stop the suffering! Did you know?

Where Immune toxicity results in autoimmune conditions, allergies, and cancers; Endocrine toxicity results in your sex related health issues including thyroid dysfunction. I am the same breather, Neuro toxicity will similarly result in all age-related brain dis functions, Parkinson’s, and dementia to mention but a few. Toxicity remains the no 1 downfall for modern day man and child resulting in disturbingly high “dis-ease” stats. Time to be good to your body – with a little help from your detox specialists, Imsyser Health, we naturally assist the body in attaining new-found balance improving overall health, weight management and age-related Skin manifestations.

Just looking at the illustration confirms the risk of leaking toxins into and through the gut lining which then leaks into the blood and may or may not cross the blood brain barrier and put all brain functions at risk.

Leaky Gut, also referred to as increased intestinal permeability or intestinal hyperpermeability, is precisely as it sounds: a condition where the integrity of the intestinal lining is compromised, creating a pathway for inflammatory pathogens.

It might be surprising to learn that the lining of our intestines is merely one cell thick. These intestinal cells constitute the gut barrier, separating our internal environment from the external world.

Visualize it as the wall of a castle fortress. Within this fortification, there are numerous gates that regulate entry for citizens while repelling intruders. These “gates” are the tight junctions between each cell. These cellular junctions play a critical and delicate role: they must remain large enough to permit the passage of essential nutrients into the bloodstream, yet small enough to prevent larger and potentially harmful particles (the “castle intruders”) from crossing or “leaking” through.

View diagram below for better understanding.

And how this affects our Brain:

Leaky gut can also disrupt the blood-brain barrier, leading to a condition known as leaky brain. Leaky brain manifests as neuroinflammation, which can trigger symptoms such as brain fog, depression, memory loss, or fatigue.

Additionally, leaky gut can compromise the barrier in the airways, heightening susceptibility to seasonal allergies and respiratory infections. Normally harmless environmental exposures to dust, pollen, and animal dander should not trigger an immune response. However, when the gut is permeable and the mucosal barrier in the airways is compromised, these innocuous particles can provoke reactive responses. If you experience allergies, assessing the health of your gut is crucial.

The chronic immune activation associated with leaky gut can induce elevated cortisol levels, disrupting the circadian rhythm and sleep patterns. If you struggle with insomnia or maintaining sleep, leaky gut could be a contributing factor.

Furthermore, leaky gut can suppress components of the immune system that combat viral and bacterial infections. This imbalance often involves an overactive T-helper two system, exacerbating allergies and food sensitivities, while the T-helper one system, responsible for fighting infections, is suppressed. Consequently, individuals with leaky gut are more susceptible to contagious pathogens like colds, sinus infections, and the flu.

Symptoms of Leaky Gut

Leaky Gut is more prevalent than commonly assumed, contributing to a myriad of health issues. Your gut bacteria’s Secret Weapon Your Superpower: Butyrate

Nestled deep within your large intestine resides a bustling community of trillions of bacteria known as your gut microbiome. This vibrant ecosystem plays a crucial role in various aspects of your health, making it essential to comprehend the functions of your gut bacteria and their production of vital substances. Among these substances, one of the standout “superpowers” of your gut bacteria is butyrate – a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA).

Understanding Butyrate:

Butyrate, a type of short-chain fatty acid (SCFA), is synthesized by select gut bacteria during the breakdown or fermentation of dietary fibre. Found in plant-based foods, fibre is indigestible by humans and thus traverses through to the colon or large bowel, where it undergoes fermentation by gut bacteria to yield SCFAs.

The key to nurturing a gut-friendly environment lies in consuming prebiotic-rich foods. Prebiotics, including certain types of dietary fibre, serve as a fuel source for beneficial gut bacteria, facilitating the production of health-enhancing substances like SCFAs. While other SCFAs like acetate and propionate offer notable health benefits, butyrate stands out as the most extensively researched.

The Significance of Butyrate:

Butyrate plays a pivotal role in supporting gut health and may confer protection against inflammation-related diseases. Its “superpower” attributes encompass:

  • Nourishing the gut and brain barrier by nurturing gut cells
  • Mitigating inflammation in the gut and brain
  • Bolstering the immune system’s defences against pathogenic bacteria
  • Curbing appetite, aiding in weight management
  • Regulating blood sugar levels, potentially lowering the risk of diabetes
  • Notably, diminished levels of butyrate (and/or impaired bacterial fibre degradation) have been linked to inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer, and insulin resistance.

Factors Contributing to Low Butyrate Levels:

A lack of microbial diversity can hamper the capacity to produce butyrate. A less diverse microbiome may lack the requisite bacteria for optimal butyrate production. Enhancing diversity entails consuming a varied array of prebiotic fibre sources, which can fuel a diverse spectrum of butyrate-producing bacteria. Certain prebiotic fibres, such as resistant starch and pectin, have demonstrated efficacy in elevating butyrate levels. Insufficient butyrate production by the gut microbiome may predispose individuals to gastrointestinal, immune, or metabolic issues.

Strategies to Boost Butyrate Production:

To empower your gut microbiome in generating butyrate, adopt a high-fibre diet rich in sources of resistant starch and pectin. This entails incorporating ample plant-based foods such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts/seeds, and legumes into your meals. Additionally, you can enhance the resistant starch content of foods like potatoes, pasta, and rice by cooking and cooling them overnight for use in salads.

Ensure your meals abound with prebiotics to unleash your butyrate-producing potential, with resistant starch sources highlighted in green and pectin sources in blue.

Effects of Gut Dysfunction/Dysbiosis

How to Improve Gut Health

Your absolute best Pre&Probiotic should mimic the gut and the needs of the gut as established within. A liquid Pre&Probiotic not only makes sense as it is then completely available for the oral cavity but also starts working immediately from there. Fermented is key; this substrate will be selectively utilized by host microorganisms to the best of its ability in a self-absorbing capacity conferring into a particular health benefit:

  • Probiotic: Live microorganisms that when administered in adequate amounts confer a benefit to the host. Probiotic is a live microbial feed which beneficially affects the intestinal microbial balance.
  • Prebiotic:  Prebiotic is a non-digestible food which improves the growth of bacteria in the colon. Both prebiotics and probiotics may support helpful bacteria and the gut ecosystem.
  • Symbiotic: Product that contains both pre & probiotics
  • Eubiotic: Symbiotic or Eubiotic is a mixture of probiotics and prebiotics. The microbial ecosystem of the gastrointestinal tract is characterized by a considerable number of microbial species living in balance by adopting mutualistic strategies that strongly influences our healthy and disease status.
  • Parabiotic: Everything which could be an alternative to living probiotics like in this case tyndallized bacteria. Tyndallization is a process used to inactivate probiotic bacteria by exposing them to elevated temperatures up to 100°C, followed by lower temperatures ranging from room temperature to as low as the freezing point1. Tyndallized probiotics are processed in their culture media and contain bacterial walls. The products released during their cell death have been demonstrated to positively affect human health and maintain their immunological effect on the gut barrier.
  • Post Biotics: Post-biotics is a new term that has been coined to refer to the metabolic byproducts of those probiotic bacteria. Metabolic by-products are a polite synonym of “waste products.” In other words, as probiotics feed on prebiotics, post-biotics are produced. These bacteria produce and excrete compounds into our digestive tracts, which are responsible for many of the beneficial effects of probiotics.
  • Psychobiotics: Psychobiotics refers to live bacteria that, when ingested in appropriate amounts, might confer health benefits because of interacting with the gut microbiota via bacteria–brain relationships.

On the issue of psycho biotics, Depression is a huge growing reality for many special scholars. To help inside out, understating the value of a good probiotic is necessary, the value add is scholars all the way to parents and teachers going down the time frame as that too spills onto the lives of our children. Even if it is an only a ‘time frame’ that we are dealing with negative thoughts, these thoughts can be assisted with the use of a good Pre&Probiotic.

The solution is never to run for your ‘chemical solution.’ In fact, as often the fine shift that was created through the extreme stress levels. By merely addressing the gut microbiome, change will happen. Re-adjusting all for your absolute best gut functions, Immunity. More importantly brain functions. This might entail your depressive thoughts as well. But even more importantly not allowing the imbalance to prevail till complete out of control reactions happen.

Probiotics have huge health beneficial actions from birth as Mother Nature’s natural supply has been negated with modern-day toxicity and depletion levels in our soil and resultant plant growth, causing havoc in all health. These Probiotics are used to gently, naturally, modulate our natural gut microme ensuring natural balances are ensured in all our health systems. Gut microbiota is implicated in many processes, including ones involving the Immune responses and those from the brain. These processes and communication pathways by these micro-organisms (along the Vagus nerve feeding our gut-brain axis) have important effects on how the body responds to stress and resultant brain activity.

Imsyser to the rescue! Imsyser’s Fermented Liquid Microbial Probiotic Product contains twelve strains of Nature’s most natural form of Pre- & Pro-biotics, and multiple classes of live bacteria, including Synbiotics and Postbiotics to ensure diverse interactive release of digestive enzymes as mimicked in the gut. There must be an exceptionally good reason the Global Probiotic market statistics are as follow:

The Probiotics Market size was estimated at USD 57.65 billion in 2022, USD 63.32 billion in 2023, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 10.39% to reach USD 127.15 billion by 2030. Someone is onto something and quite clearly our Microbiome are driving this need in the first place as well as the growth of this market.

And then of course your food intake. Probiotics are seen as part of the food intake because in the past they were your food!

In the past the absolute best of Pre and Probiotic intake came via your foods, more specifically plant and soil laying the ideal foundation of good health. However, our food sources are compromised because our water and soil sources are compromised, and this accumulative effect results in declined health as dysbiosis sets in. Dietary treatments in the form of early enteral nutrition and intake of glutamine, arginine, and omega-3 fatty acids are another potential therapy that stimulates Immune cells and promotes Gut barrier health. Vitamins and minerals such as nicotinamide, zinc, and magnesium have also shown potential in pre-clinical models. Dietary fibre has as significant impact on gut microbiota.

We will remember Hippocrates said: “Let food be your Medicine” remains our core focus as difficult as it may seem. Feed your Microbiome as you feed your body.

Imsyser’s Pre&Probiotic offer unique benefits by ensuring daily gut health maintenance, thereby supporting optimal immune function. Enzymes are pivotal in various physiological functions throughout the body. Natural digestive enzymes, such as lipase, amylase, and protease, assist in the breakdown of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Without sufficient digestive acids, ingested food may ferment in the stomach, generating toxins that provoke irritation and inflammation throughout the body. Digestive enzyme supplements can aid in enhancing digestion. Several factors may necessitate the use of digestive enzyme supplements, including digestive, liver, or pancreatic disorders, or simply the aging process. In such circumstances, these supplements can alleviate the digestive organs’ workload, thereby reducing inflammation and promoting the healing of leaky gut. Some digestive supplements are designed to be taken alongside meals, while others are best taken shortly before eating.

When bacteria in the gut are nourished with prebiotic fibre, they produce metabolites that support health within as well as beyond the gut. While we can get prebiotic fibre from certain foods, many of us just do not eat enough food sources of prebiotics. Supplemental prebiotic fibre is one of the top recommended gut supplements. By adding isolated prebiotic fibre to your diet, you can optimize your microbiome and improve your overall health.

Benefits:

  • Supports a healthy microbiome.
  • Improves immune function.
  • Reduces the incidence of upper respiratory infections.
  • Supports healthy weight management.
  • Improves blood sugar balance.
  • Promotes bowel regularity.
  • Relieves gas and bloating.

One Golden Rule is the Golden Rule!!

Eat a diet full of whole grains, lean meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables. Fibre is a pre-biotic. Feed the good healthy bacteria, viruses, and fungi that live in the gut what they like to help them grow. These foods are called Prebiotics. Do not base your diet on sugary, fried, or processed foods and soft drinks. If it is in a package, bottle, or tin it is processed. remember:  loss of microbiome is the result of soil depletion, and that leaves the whole eco chain depleted including your body!!!

Also, Sugar is the No 1 enemy. shrinking your brain with Toxins. Did You know that for every 1 kg of extra weight you put on you take away the proportionate amount of brain health.

  • Toxins add to weight gain.
  • Toxins add to inflammatory conditions.
  • Toxins will be causal brain health issues going forward.

Making nutritious food choices is like building a savings account for your health. Good dietary “investments” help keep your gut, brain, heart, and other organs healthy. They also help reduce your risk of obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions like all the brain health issues and the growing list of symptoms related to this.

Start with Foundational Principles

You may think of the word “diet” to lose weight. However, a diet is simply a pattern of eating, not a weight loss plan per se. Every diet or eating pattern could potentially have advantages and disadvantages. Whether you choose keto, paleo, vegan, or any other diet, there are ways to make it healthy. On the other hand, without planning, any diet can deplete your health account. For instance, Vegan diets tend to be low in vitamin B12. However, you can take fortified nutritional yeast to address this. Similarly, a ketogenic diet may run low on fibre since it significantly restricts carbohydrates. But, with careful planning and smart food choices, you can meet your fibre needs.

So, no matter what eating pattern you follow, you need to make sure you are getting essential macro- and micronutrients. Aim to get natural phytochemicals to support your health, too. Alcohol is proinflammatory, especially to your liver. It may also damage other organs and tissues like your brain, muscles, and heart. Alcohol is an especially poor “investment” if you struggle with digestive issues. This is because alcohol can contribute to increased intestinal permeability or “leaky gut.”

So, aim to get your energy from health-supportive macronutrients.

  • Micronutrients and phytochemicals: Your body’s helpers Micronutrients include vitamins and minerals. They are required in lesser amounts, so the term has the prefix “micro.”  Wholefood source is best.
  • Vitamins and minerals help regulate bodily processes. For instance, they help turn macronutrients into energy in your mitochondria. Some vitamins and minerals also have antioxidant properties. Vitamins are either water-soluble or fat-soluble. You need dietary fat to absorb the fat-soluble vitamins. These include vitamins A, D, E, and K. For example, putting an oil and vinegar dressing on your salad helps you absorb vitamins A and K in the vegetables. Wholefood source is best.
  • Plant-based foods also contain non-nutrient compounds called phytochemicals. These are not required per se, but they may significantly benefit your health. Some are powerful antioxidants. Phytochemicals are the future of health.
  • Healthy fats and oils. Also keep in mind that you need fat for essential functions in your body. For example, your body uses fat to make cell membranes and protective coverings for your nerves. Dietary fat supports your brain health as well. Unsaturated fats are those that are liquid at room temperature. Olive oil, avocado oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and corn oil are in this category. Nuts and seeds, as well as their oils, are also rich in unsaturated fats. Oils contain differing ratios of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 unsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3 and omega-6 are called polyunsaturated fats. Omega-9 refers to monounsaturated fat. You might need some omega-6 fat, but many people get too much. An excess of omega-6 fat can be inflammatory. This may increase your risk of heart disease, obesity, and autoimmune disease. Excess omega-6 fat intake is typical in Western-style diets. In some cases, people are consuming twenty times more omega-6 fat than omega-3 fat. That is a ratio of 20:1, which is out of balance with what you need. A healthier ratio is 4:1. In contrast to omega-6 fats, omega-3 fats are anti-inflammatory. As for omega-9 fats, common sources are avocado, olive, and canola oils. Avocado and extra-virgin olive oils are healthy choices. But canola oil is usually GMO. It is commonly used in processed foods. Omega-6 fats are especially prone to the formation of toxic aldehydes when fried. Aldehydes can potentially damage your cells, tissues, and organs. Wholefood source is best.
  • Protein foods synthesize enzymes for numerous bodily functions, make connective tissue, collagen, and elastin, generates healthy skin and hair, produce hormones and other signalling molecules, and transports oxygen in your body via haemoglobin, a protein. Wholefood sourced is best.
  • Carbohydrate. The body primarily uses carbohydrates as fuel. And the fibre that is part of carbs helps keep you regular. The best carbohydrates for optimum health come from whole and minimally processed plant-based foods. These include vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. They are a reliable source of fibre and supply phytochemicals to support your health as well. Wholefood sourced is best.

GMO foods contain genes from unrelated species, such as bacteria. This foreign genetic material may increase your risk of allergies or other health challenges. Additionally, the crops are often altered to withstand pesticides like glyphosate. This could mean more toxic residues in your food. More bacteria. Quite possibly more Parasites and Viruses.

Whole Foods vs. Processed Foods

God gave us the wholefoods, so choose them. If you cannot manage with your food choices; supplement but still making wholefood choices. What makes these processed products so unhealthy?

  • Food additives. Many processed foods are full of refined sugar, salt, unhealthy fats, chemical preservatives, artificial colours, and artificial flavours. Some of these additives can make the foods almost irresistible, which promotes overeating.
  • Some food additives may worsen allergies, asthma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and celiac disease.
  • The considerable amounts of salt added to processed foods may contribute to high blood pressure and leaky gut. In a preliminary animal study, a high-salt diet increased intestinal permeability and worsened inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Nutrient loss besides the undesirable ingredients added to processed foods. Many processed, packaged foods lose vitamins, minerals, and fibre in manufacturing. So, companies often add nutrients — like calcium and zinc — to these foods.
  • The problem is the minerals added are in an inorganic form that is not as readily used by your body. In contrast, the minerals naturally present in food are organic. In this context, organic means they are bound to carbon. This helps you absorb them more easily.

Going Forward; Food choice Tips

  • Listen to your body and make choices based on what works best for you.
  • opt for unprocessed or minimally processed whole foods.
  • Pass up highly processed, packaged foods.
  • Focus on getting healthy proteins and fats, along with whole-food carbs.
  • Choose nutrient-dense foods that contain a variety of micronutrients and phytochemicals.
  • Avoid or minimize sugar and other refined carbs, alcohol, and GMO foods.
  • Regardless of which eating style you choose, following these principles will help ensure it supports your health.
  • You may think of the word “diet” to lose weight. However, a diet is simply a pattern of eating, not a weight loss plan per se.
  • Aim to get your energy from health-supportive macronutrients.
  • Sugary foods can alter your gut microbiome, allowing “bad” bacteria to thrive. Sugar is also a favourite fuel of Candida albicans and parasites. So, try not to feed the bad guys.
  • Gods packaging is best – whole and Nutritious.
  • Hydrate well with excellent choice of healthy water.

If not, the adverse consequences of an unhealthy gut on academic excellence are and will be as follows:

  • Unhealthy Gut impairs sharp Memory and is route to modern day Brain ‘dis-eases’ & Aging.
  • Unhealthy Gut impairs Concentration & Retention.
  • Unhealthy Gut impairs your Cognitive map that leads to quicker understanding.
  • Unhealthy Gut impairs your brain (Brain Fog) and hinders the Application of Knowledge
  • Unhealthy Gut results in Fatigue
  • Unhealthy Gut impairs your Listening Skills
  • Unhealthy Gut impairs Assimilation of Knowledge
  • Unhealthy Gut results in Distractions and Discomfort in the Classroom.

Choose Brain Boosting Foods

  • Eat dark chocolate; dark chocolate has high magnesium levels and antioxidants.
  • Fatty fish with fish/insect oils. Fish oil has clearly been earmarked with heavy metal loading. Insect oils are the new kid (food) on the block. Mopani our African speciality is one of them.
  • Dark leafy greens daily
  • Walnuts and Pumpkin seeds. Walnuts are good for your microbiome and five walnuts supply all the Selenium you need for best Thyroid health. A win-win for all. Walnuts are a rich source of nutrients and antioxidants, some of which may even improve your memory and concentration. Selenium also helps reduce your risk of cognitive decline, heart disease, and cancer.
  • Eggs, meat, and Avocado. Eggs offer the brain some extremely healthy nutrients. Egg yolks are a thorough source of choline, which is associated with reducing inflammation and promoting brain function, like maintaining memory and communication between brain cells.
  • All fruits that contain a high amount of vitamin C help prevent brain cells from becoming damaged and support overall brain health.
  • Oranges
  • Bell Pepper
  • Guava
  • Kiwi
  • Tomatoes
  • Strawberries
  • Blue Berries – Blueberries contain a high amount of Zinc and Vitamin C. Zinc helps brighten the vision and is called eye food.
  • Leafy green vegetables fight memory loss.

The Value Add of Omega-3 Fatty Acids for your Brain.

Supplemental omega-3 fatty acids exhibit potent efficacy in combating inflammation. Omega-3s contribute to gut health by fostering diversity and abundance within the microbiome. Research indicates that omega-3 supplementation can swiftly rectify stress-induced disruptions in the microbiome within days. The anti-inflammatory properties of omega-3s mitigate the risks of cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, and autoimmune disorders.

This is one of the brilliant value adds of the Imsyser Immune Support tabs rich in an organic source of Fatty Acids and Proteins – not marine sourced opening the doors to heavy metal toxicity – and one of the most unique products developed for especially auto-immune dis-eases in this modern day era where wholefood supplementation is yet to be realised. Remember “let food be your medicine’!

Benefits:

  • Reduces inflammation.
  • Enhances the microbiome.
  • Supports mental health.
  • Decreases the risk of autoimmune disease.
  • Improves vision.
  • Enhances heart health.
  • Lowers cancer risk.

Improve brain and boost information retention with your drinks.

  • Lemon drink and lemon water contain important vitamins and nutrients that are most helpful for brain function; it contains potassium, which helps facilitate blood flow to the brain; with ample blood flow, your brain functions.
  • Brain-boosting fruits and vegetables
  • Brain Boosting Nuts
  • Pea Nuts – Peanuts benefit the brain by enhancing cognition, memory, recall and rest.
  • Almond nuts – eating nuts regularly strengthens Brain wave frequencies associated with cognition healing, learning and sharp long-term memory.
  • Brain Boosting Beverages
  • Hot chocolate
  • Hibiscus Tea
  • Cocoa – Cocoa is rich in Flavonoids, plant-based substances that help improve attention, concentration, and retention of information. Cocoa helps the brain and the central nervous system to process information and memory at extremely high speed. It protects the brain from mental decline.

And finally, Brain Boosting Tips

  • Always drink good and alkaline water adequately to boost your brain functions.
  • Avoid eating junk foods that release toxins to your system and impair your GUT which is your second brain.
  • Allow your brain to be well-oxygenated often.
  • Always protect your brain from radiation
  • Avoid using your phone in the dark when the electricity is off.
  • Avoid spending many hours on your computer screen.
  • Include physical exercise in your daily routine.
  • Stay mentally active.
  • Get organised and sleep well for 8 hours daily.
  • Avoid charging your phone beside your bed while sleeping. The radiation from our 5G Android phone damages your brain and impairs your memory.
  • Sleep hygiene:
  • Stress and sleep deprivation are known to increase cortisol levels which causes overgrowth of bad bacteria. Therefore, it is important to develop good sleeping habits which include New Sleep Habits:
  • Being consistent. Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, including on the weekends.
  • Making sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at a comfortable temperature.
  • Removing electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones from the bedroom.
  • Avoiding large meals, caffeine, and alcohol before bedtime.
  • Exercising (being physically active during the day can help you fall asleep more easily at night). The gut and its flora/microbiota are essential for the optimal functioning of the human brain, immune system as other vital processes in the body.
  • Gut health significantly impacts our cognition, learning processes, memory, and emotions.
  • Hence, it is important to ensure that our gut health is constantly maintained by indulging in a balanced diet, using appropriate supplements, minimizing stress, and avoiding sleep deprivation.

How Can Imsyser help? Remove, Replace & Restore. What to do: The Imsyser 3 step health package:

  • Remove
  • Replace healthy microbiome.
  • Restore with wholefood nutritional supplements.

The How to do:

  1. Imsyser Deeps Intestinal Cleanses:
  • Imsyser Pre&Probiotic Liquid:
  • Imsyser Immune System Stabiliser Tabs:

Why Imsyser Works.

Failure to help the body regain and maintain the balance it needs by removing toxic overload whilst supplying all the essential nutrition it needs is becoming increasing obvious and can lead to worsening systemic signs if not addressed DAILY. Your body was equipped with an amazing Immune System designed to support optimal balanced systems but with modern day toxic overload it has become compromised. This usually includes subtle signs such as:

  • increase in food sensitivities.
  • gastric bloating
  • constipation
  • exaggerated responses to drugs
  • insomnia
  • brain fog.
  • migrating pain of unknown origin
  • anxiety
  • psoriasis
  • autoimmune flare-ups
  • tingling
  • dizziness
  • burning sensations in the mouth when under stress fatigue heart palpitations stress intolerance electrolyte imbalances and more.

Unfortunately, most of these symptoms are ignored and passed over as a normal part of the aging process until severe. But this is need not be so!!! A couple of tips to help resolve most health issues:

  • Detoxification includes liver cleansing, immune balancing, kidney restoration and full-on intestinal cleansing on a very regular basis to assist the body to ‘help’ itself in doing disease prevention. The body is weakened when compromised and daily functions are compromised. Healthy people have more energy and feel revitalized after a liver flush, a detoxification fast, enough sleep and enough water.
  • Supplements help to fight to maintain system balances but more importantly have become a basic daily necessity. Imsyser to the rescue….

Imsyser Health is the manufacturer of an incredibly unique range of products sourced, researched, and developed to the process of achieving ‘balance” through means of a simple three step process.

The Imsyser Flagship Range was designed to assist in not only ‘dis-ease’ prevention but a process of obtaining optimal immune and gut health by assisting in the process of achieving homeostasis = balance so that the body may assist itself in maintaining good health in all its functionalities.

It is that simple: Remove. Replace. Restore.

The same applies for our Skin and Ageing – beauty inside out.

Step 1: Imsyser Deep Intestinal Cleanses to rid the body of waste and toxins. this is the preparation step. do it regularly to ensure you are not the toxic dumping place in your own intestines!

A 7-day detox programme with no gut changes other good excretion. may also be taken daily as a fibre bulking agent with no harmful changes in gut behaviour. seeing is believing (see attached pic) what is removed over time. if this is lining your gut nothing penetrates (good nutrition) nor waste out!!

Find a product that not only moves the impacted old stinky waste but also the gut lining inclusive of the Biofilm. Biofilm-producing microorganisms are now estimated to be involved with 80% of all gut infections in humans. Biofilm is formed of what are called “extracellular polymers” that act like a glue and create a physical barrier around colonizing bacteria, fungus, parasites, etc. Prescription antibiotics have often been isolated as a contributor to biofilm formation. A biofilm is designed to adhere to human tissue where damage to the tissue and inflammation occur. Biofilm’s presence pushes out beneficial bacteria and allows a flow of toxins to bypass the gut lining. This stresses the immune system, reducing nutrition absorption.

The “Cause and effect”:  Oral bacteria / mouth infections, catheters, implantable devices, and much more can create issues in the heart (coronary artery disease) brain, kidney, lungs (mucus, related to cystic fibrosis), joints, chronic ear infections, tonsillitis. Removing biofilm is important, as biofilm forms an impenetrable shield providing a haven for viruses, harmful bacteria, candida, fungus, and heavy metals in the gut.

Proteolytic enzymes (proteo meaning protein and lytic meaning breakdown) that help in the digestion of protein, breaking them down into amino acids. They weaken biofilms around antibiotic-resistant bacteria. They are responsible for breaking down fibrin, a particularly tough protein that accumulates in scar tissue. Fibrin, is the basic building material used for generating a biofilm, triggering a secondary immune response. Addressing biofilm is a multi-step approach. Breaking down biofilm, along with killing off the pathogens, and carrying the toxins of the body. Once again Imsyser to the rescue.

The Truth About Detox Colon Cleanses

Detox colon cleanses (Imsyser has two 7-day deep Intestinal Cleanses) have gained popularity in recent years to rid the body of toxins and promote better health. Advocates claim that these cleanses can improve digestion, boost energy levels, and even aid in weight loss. However, the reality behind these claims may not be as straightforward as some believe. While it is true that our bodies are exposed to various toxins from the environment and diet, the idea that a colon cleanse can effectively remove these toxins is not supported by scientific evidence. In fact, the body has its own natural detoxification systems, primarily the liver and kidneys, which are highly efficient at filtering out and eliminating toxins.

Many detox colon cleanse products and programs often involve restrictive diets, fasting, or the use of herbal supplements or enemas. These methods can be harsh on the body and may lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and disruptions in the natural balance of gut bacteria. Moreover, there is little research to support the effectiveness of colon cleanses for improving overall health. While some people may experience temporary relief from constipation or bloating after a cleanse, any perceived benefits are due to the temporary removal of waste rather than a true detoxification of the body.

Instead exercise and colon cleanses, experts recommend adopting a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, staying hydrated, getting regular exercise, and managing stress levels. These habits support the body’s natural detoxification processes and promote long-term health and well-being. In conclusion, while detox colon cleanses may be appealing as a quick fix for health issues, their effectiveness is questionable, and they may even pose risks to health. Rather than pursuing drastic cleansing methods, focus on making sustainable lifestyle changes that support overall health and wellness.

Going Deeper removing parasites as well.

As gory as most people would find this video the true reality lies in how this little parasite can potentially do so much damage in our body especially when the natural balance is stripped away as with the modern-day lifestyle choices of many. In this state of imbalance, the open door to various autoimmune conditions, gut issues and even the link to many cancers, parasites have been discovered to be causal to the prices of ‘dis-ease.’ We do need to wake up! Detox cleansing to remove parasites is a seasonal necessity.

A colon Cleanse is understood! A Parasite Cleanse less so…

Yet….Parasites are a level of toxicity that we encounter in our everyday lives, and no one is taking about it!

We ingest toxins all day – pesticides, plastics, harmful bacteria, heavy metals, and more toxic substances on a regular basis. These very toxins are our triggers linked to autoimmune conditions, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and brain fog, and they are flooding our bodies without us even realizing it.

Parasites can cause great damage to the human body, weakening our Immune System thereby causing disease. Therefore, even though it is quite normal for parasites to cycle through our bodies, it is especially important to eliminate them on a regular basis. They are the most diverse of all biological forms and yet remain hostile to humans. Finally, if you cannot think of any other cause for ill health or dis-ease after numerous visits to your health specialists, I always tell my clients to “think parasites.”

Do not forget about your Oral Health; the latest discoveries concerning Brain health and quite simply all health.

Did you know?

Merely adding flossing once a day has been proven to add 7 years to your life! And it is not only the extended life we are discussing but all brain health relates to your oral health along the gut-brain axis as well as the oral-brain axis. In fact, your mouth is the most dangerous of potential health concerns in the body. Your oral Biome deserve more focus than previously realised. In fact, your gut microbiome mimics your oral biome and vice versa.

That is how important good oral hygiene is for both scholars, parents, and teachers. Take the fluoride out! Adding a fluoride free Tooth gel that changes the plaque growing material on the tooth with natural ingredients and you can shift your health of your oral microbiome and so too affect your gut and rest of the body microbiome.

There is a reason you need antibiotic coverage before even a cleaning of the teeth with an oral hygienist if your heart health is compromised. And we are not even touching brain health! You have a choice! Choose well.

So how healthy is your oral microbiome? The key role healthy plaque plays in a healthy mouth remains obvious. We were not designed to have all the dental work done that is being done, and that is not even discussing our bad diet and excessive sugar intake. But in time even your healthy habits turn against you when we do excessive chemical mouthwashes, turn to fast food intake with excessive exposure to pathogens disturbing the natural microbiome along the oral-gut axis. A leaky gut (+ SIBO/IMO or IBS) turns good dental plaque bad especially when this healthy balance is disturbed.

Time to turn the table on your related heart health, brain health – these organisms can kill you:

  • Fix your bad oral habits.
  • Fix your bad lifestyle habits.
  • Rinse and swallow with your absolute best liquid Probiotic.
  • Use a better toothpaste.

In a Nutshell….

We hope the information we have provided you with here will help you to repair your gut so you can overcome digestive problems, improve your immune status, and have better health for the years to come.

Based on the learning and brain support issues, we have targeted some essential support areas as addressed in the book written by Janet:

  • Brain profiling to establish healthiest learning habits for the individual remains crucial. Hand in hand learning styles must be established for that specific individual.
  • Learning Smarter is vital.
  • Maintaining Brain fitness is essential. Working skills are to be taught.
  • Communication Skills are crucial supporting effective learning skills.
  • Thinking Skills will further support Brain fitness and learning skills. In house specialist training will be provided for these specific skills.

Our human bodies are marvellously designed and very robust but will fail under constant exposure to abuse. Most of the diseases we suffer today are brought about by the unhealthy lifestyle choices. This in turn form habits, then go on to form our characters. Our characters are, all said and done what we are. These choices and habits are brought on by feelings that one that must submit to the peers. This accepted practice, often without understanding, has hurtful consequences.

This article brings some simple rules that bring better health and happier living. When applied in your life will undo much of the damage already done:

N-E-W-S-T-A-R-T:

  • Nutrition: Seek Gods packaging not Man’s packaging.
  • Exercise: Find your happy “exercise thing” just keep at it.
  • Water: Hydration is not only key to all health but most important to Brain Health.
  • Sunshine start your day. Exposure will kick start all your health especially healthy sleep patterns later in the day.
  • Temperance: Forgive, Forgive, Forgive!
  • Air: God’s air is best – open your windows not your aircons.
  • Rest: Take a break but most importantly Sleep well at night without medical support.
  • Trust in Divine Power: Who created it all? He did; so, Trust HIM not man.

As we have mentioned various nutritional pointers that would include good hydration principles, fresh air always and some daily exercise. Remember that first early morning sunrays is your melatonin “manufacture” and sets the gut health into action for your absolute best hormone production – all ages – as well sleep rhythms. The mind is however a power of its own and dealing with stress remains core to an integrated approach.

Managing Lifestyle. Managing Stress. What is stress?

Adopting the right attitude can convert a negative stress into a positive one” Hans Seley. Stress is your body’s response to a demanding situation. Your brain causes hormones to flood your system. These increase your heart rate, regulate your blood pressure, expand, or constrict the capacity of your lungs, and tense your muscles. Stress is anything that causes us to feel we are losing control.

Change and a lack of understanding of our environment may cause stress. Stress includes anxiety and fear. Anxiety deals with imagined or unreal dangers. Fear deals with actual or threatened dangers. Stress is a natural response that enables you to deal with challenging situations. Beneficial stress enables you to act or react quickly. The stress response begins in your brain. A certain amount of stress can help you to reach your goals. Prolonged, extreme, and chronic stress can harm you. When your body is repeatedly or constantly on “High alert,” you may begin to suffer physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Chronic stress can lead to substance abuse, burnout, depression, and thoughts of suicide.

Types Of Stress

Psychobiotics (prebiotics and probiotics) against stress: a new paradigm. Recent Studies.

The gut microbiota is now identified as a key channel for brain processes, mood, and behaviour. The development of therapeutic approaches as targeted at the gut microbiota will help to improve the mental health of populations. An Irish team studied for 4 weeks, the impact of a psych biotic diet on the gut microbiota, mood, and stress perception. The researchers recruited twenty-four participants and twenty-one healthy adult controls aged 18 to 59 years:

The first group had a diet that included whole grains (5 to 8 servings), fruits and vegetables high in prebiotics (6 to 8 onions, lettuce, cabbage, apple, bananas, oats), other vegetables (3 to 4 servings) and fermented foods (2 to 3 servings of sauerkraut, kefir or kombucha). They were also asked to cut back on treats, sodas, and fast food. Participants also benefited from general dietary advice: knowledge of the food pyramid, daily calorie recommendations according to gender, etc.

Control subjects only received this dietary advice. The stress experienced by all subjects was self-rated by the Cohen Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) at baseline and at the end of the study.

Results after 4 weeks:

– Only the psychobiotic diet group had a significant decrease in perceived stress levels. In addition, the higher the adherence to the plan, the greater the reduction in the PSS score.

– Metabolomic analysis revealed a significant change in forty lipid metabolites in the psych biotic diet group, not in the control group. This could mean that the gut microbiota influences mood by regulating lipid metabolism.

Micro biotic medicine and psych biotic treatments can modulate the gut-brain axis and reduce stress and associated disorders. Dietary interventions must already have their place in nutritional recommendations for the preventive or curative treatment of mental disorders.

Creativity Skills

Creativity is the skill and talent to use our imagination to create and solve problems. It is the mental capacity to generate novel and useful ideas. Albert Einstein says, “I believe we are all born with genius and creativity.” We all have a level of creativity in our D.N.A. because God, our creator, is creative, and we are created in His image and likeness. Creative education is when teachers can use imagination and critical thinking to create new and meaningful forms of ideas where they make learners to be independent and construct knowledge.

Teachers learn to develop learners’ ability to find various solutions to a problem. The right mix of creativity and curriculum helps learners to be innovative and encourages them to learn new things. Learners can grow up as good communicators in addition to improving their emotional, relational, and social skills. Creativity can enhance the learners’ ability to learn new things through convergent and divergent thinking and apply whatever they learn to solve real-life problems.

Emotional Intelligence Skills

  • Emotional Intelligence is the whole Brain Blended Learning
  • Emotional Intelligence is the missing link in the 21st Century classrooms in terms of how it can be developed and used both by the educators to transfer knowledge to the student and by the student to optimally acquire and assimilate the knowledge being taught.
  • Emotional Intelligence encompasses the development of the following soft skills both in the Educators and the students:
  • Self-Regulation, Self-Awareness, Self Esteem, Self-Management and Motivation and Decision Making. Emotional Intelligence is combined with blended technology (Information and communications technology -ICT) to help both the Educator and the student achieve best performance in the teaching and learning environment as digital students.
  • Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage both your own emotions and understand the emotions of learners and people around you.
  • Emotional intelligence is the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.
  • Emotional Intelligence is the KEY to both personal and professional success in Life.

In Conclusion…

The gut-brain axis is a term for the communication network that connects the gut and the brain. This system is complex; the Vagus nerve is one of the key elements of this connection. The Vagus nerve sends signals in both directions and this system is the intricate microbiome connection we intend supporting, determining all brain functions.

There is strong evidence for brain-related pathologies, some of which could be a consequence of viral neurotropism or virus-induced neuroinflammation including the following: neurological and cognitive deficits demonstrated by patients, with an incidence of neurological symptoms in more than 80% of the severe Covid cases, radiological and post mortem tissue analyses demonstrating the impact of COVID-19 on the brain, and the possible presence of the coronavirus in the central nervous system.

Post Covid. Deterioration of our food supply chain. Traumatic Stress and very many factors; we must do something to change the future of our young and old learners; teachers and their family. I suggest for consideration a new prospect, a new brighter future. Let us restore our bodies to the way God designed them to Function and Prosper…. Gut, Brain, Thoughts & Body…GOD BLESS YOU!
